PADNAmonium
Yes, I know there has been some PAD bias on the site lately -- they have soo much going on those busy bees! But the PADNA (Powerhouse Arts District Neighborhood Association) is really a neighborhood association that the whole city should be involved in. The historic buildings and cobblestone streets are some of the oldest in our city and the struggles they have faced are of interest to all JC residents. Show your support and thanks for all they do to preserve an arts district in JC by attending their fundraiser:
Saturday, April 26th, 8pm-midnight
150 Bay Steet
(two blcks from the Grove Street PATH)
Jersey City, NJ 07302
Live music, fine art, raffles, hors d'oeuvres, drinks and a silent auction (including design services from yours truly!). Featured performances by: American Watercolor Movement, Tremble In The Heat and The Meltdowns.
There are only 200 tickets available:

From PADNA (Powerhouse Arts District Neighborhood Association) "This is it - no more public meetings after this one. It is fundamental that we impress upon both the City Council and the press the overwhelming opposition to Toll's changes by having a massive turnout at the April 9 City Council meeting. We have been contacted by numerous news outlets including the Times and expect them to be present. Please speak to your friends and neighbors about attending as well. This is your last chance to have your voice heard. Let the mayor and city council know how you feel. Go to Citizenspeak and fill out the online petititon. Please do this ASAP, as we will be forwarding a copy of the petition to Senator Menendez and other state officials."

Spring Cleaning

The PADNA Spring Clean up:
Saturday, March 29, starting at 9:30 am
(raindate Sunday the 30th)
140 Bay Street, all clean up gear and snacks/coffee will be provided
A neighborhood clean up makes a tangible difference in the quality of our streets and public spaces. Last year a huge amount of trash was collected in a very short time and the neighborhood shined like a new penny!
